Language Teaching Guide
Language instructors support Ukrainian refugees and other participants in developing language skills for employment and daily life.
Who Can Teach
You do not need formal teaching qualifications to volunteer as a language instructor. You need:
- Native or near-native proficiency in the language you teach
- Patience and ability to explain concepts clearly
- Reliability for scheduled sessions
- Basic familiarity with online teaching tools

Getting Started
- Apply as a language volunteer at theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/
- Specify your languages and availability in the application
- TEEI coordinator will match you with appropriate learners or a course group
- You receive access to itslearning and any partner platforms needed
Lesson Planning
TEEI provides course outlines and materials via itslearning. Instructors adapt these to their learners’ levels and needs. You are not expected to create all materials from scratch.
Tracking Sessions
Log session completion in your TEEI platform access. Session data feeds into impact reports.
